Spiritual & Cultural Activities

The Ashrama serves as a vibrant hub for spiritual growth, cultural preservation, and devotion. We celebrate major festivals and the birth anniversaries of the Holy Trinity with great solemnity, bringing together thousands of devotees, students, and well-wishers.

Annual Pujas & Festivals:

Durga Puja

Celebrating a glorious tradition that began in 1976, our five-day Durga Puja is conducted strictly following the Belur Math tradition—from Bodhan on Panchami to the Homa on Navami. Recently, the festivities featured special discourses on the 'Spiritual Significance of Shakti Worship' by visiting senior monks, alongside the ritualistic Chandi Path. During the festival, we are blessed to serve prasad to nearly 6,000 attending devotees.

Kali Puja

Performed in the image with profound devotion and solemnity, concluding with the distribution of khichuri prasad to all attendees.

Saraswati Puja

Phalaharini Kali Puja

Celebrations of the Holy Trinity (Tithipujas):

We hold special pujas, homas, devotional singing (Bhajans/Sankirtanam), and public meetings with distinguished speakers to honor the lives and teachings of Bhagwan Shri Ramakrishna Dev, Holy Mother Sri Ma Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda.

Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna Deva:

Marked by colorful morning processions through Haflong town, Baul Sangeet, and readings from the Sri Sri Ramakrishna Leelaprasanga.

Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi:

Featuring special programs like Matri Sangeet, group dance-dramas by local children, and public discourses.
